Bark Rangers!
Last summer Bark Rangers was a hit. Jennifer McNamara partnered with the Outdoor Campus to bring free bite awareness education to elementary age children in Sioux Falls. South Dakota Coalition for Companion Animals is excited to announce dates for Bark Rangers 2010!
Saturday June 19th from 1 - 4pm open house at the Outdoor Campus in Sioux Falls. These 45 minute indoor sessions will include a video, discussion, practice and quiz over how to handle an approaching dog or cat. Kids will learn how to be a tree, or lay like a log. They will also learn how dogs and cats signal their emotions with their body language.
Again this course is free through the generosity of the Outdoor Campus.
At the same time Tanya Beckman will present a course to help owners have a more enjoyable experience with their dogs as they visit public parks. This course is also a free event.
